We are proud to bring you the 2nd annual It Takes a Village fundraiser hosted at Crew Club Athletics. Haley Daniels, is in the race of her life to navigate her way to the 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games for the first time where due to gender inequality she and her fellow competitors had to advocate for equal opportunities at the Olympics. It’s the first time the sport has been officially open for women to compete in canoe slalom and thanks to Haley and the dedicated group who lobbied there is finally recognition and inclusion in Tokyo.
Join Haley and friends on January 19, 2019 for an evening of mingling, munching, and music in Calgary’s newest rowing-focused athletic studio for a artist-painted paddles auction and special adventure and lifestyle prize packages.
Eight paddles, each custom painted by a local artist, will be on display and up for the bidding.
We’re hosted by the brand new Crew Club Athletics rowing studio in the heart of Mission, founded by Bruce Robertson, Olympic Gold Medalist in Rowing at the Barcelona 1992 Summer Games. Get your tickets soon, as attendance is limited!
